Imitation enamel:

Imitation enamel was invented in 80'S.It appears that has brought a revolution for the lapel pin history. The synthetic pigment gives the gorgeous appearance that similar to Cloisonne hard enamel.The advantages of imitation enamels are shinier and they are able to match "pantone color chart". It gives lapel pins more room in colors. Unlike hard enamel,imitation enamel is liquid form and can be mixed. Today,most of lapel pin are made by imitation enamel because of similarity to hard-fired enamel look, lower cost.,faster delivery time and a wider variety of color choices.It becomes the trend of making lapel pins.

Soft enamel:

Soft enamel pins are strucked from a die that is cast from the design. The pins are cutted with a special cutting die,the shaped metal plated,and then cut indentations are filled with enamel.Each pin is individually painted by hand using special syringes.The raised areas are cleaned of enamel and the pin is baked in a kiln to harden the enamel.

Die struck:

Die struck pins give the appearance of the design being carved into the metal.Your image is stamped on a sheet of iron or copper.Plating of the die struck lapel pins are done next.The raised metal surfaces of the pins are polished to a luster finish while recessed areas are left with a sandblast look.The end result is an elegant and impressive "tone on tone" creation.

Silkscreen printed:

The silkscreen-printed pin is an excellent choice of color pins with small details.Your artwork is perfectly reproduced into a shaped metal base without the metal lines separating the PMS colors. Add a clear epoxy dome for durability and a shiny,finished look.

Offest printed:

Offset printing is best used for designs with detailed color gradations,we create the effect using a similar process to that of the Photo Dome pins,but with the design printed directly into the metal base,the print is then covered with an epoxy dome for long-lasting protection.Offset printing is typically used for large quantity orders due to the complexity of the process.

Photo etched:

Photo-etched pins are made by painting enamel into etched metal,this type of pin is very popular and inexpensive.It can even be plated gold,silver,bronze,copper,or black chrome.These trypes of pins are thinner than soft-enamel.Oten,a protective epoxy dome is applied to make the pins more attractive and thicker.
